I've very much enjoyed writing this blog and found it an invaluable outlet for my terrible brand of banter. Without it I'm pretty sure that by now you'd have seen my decrepit face under the Metro headline ''Writer' bludgeons 30 to death with layout pad'.
But for various reasons I've decided it's time to knock it on the head.
