So The Hand of Frog struck in extra time last night and denied Ireland penalties to reach the World Cup. Everyone saw it apart from two men - those two men being the ref and the linesman, of course.
This morning Sky picked up on Henry mouthing what looks like the words 'I cheated' to Richard Dunne as they sat together after the final whistle. The game is so riddled with cheating it's sickening, and it's about time there were some consequences for the offenders. I hope FIFA come down on Henry like they (inicially) did with Eduardo. And surely it's about time for a bit of technology to come in, like all other major sports. The arguement is that it would slow down the game but for an extra few minutes all these injustices can be cleared up. Noone wants to see every decision contested but a referral system like tennis, where each manager/captain gets one 'challenge' each half seems to make sense. There's too much at stake in football now. If the shoe was on the other foot and the French went out on that decision I guarentee that Platini would have already filed new laws to bring in video technology.
Thierry, you're a penis and should be ashamed of yourself. Gutted!
