"We have dominated the world. But also, we like to be dominated." Dooooo weeeeeee?

This McVitie’s ad is currently running in France. It's a smart strategy to couple the French’s general dislike of England with our natural self-effacing nature. I absolutely love the end line: ‘They’re English but they’re good’. Not sure why they decided to use a French voiceover for it though as it ruins the whole perspective of the ad. The overall result isn’t bad, save the odd weird insight (the tailored suit, tailored dress bit is lazy and out of keeping).
What with Thierry bashing, iLingual, Hewlett Packard and now this, these posts are getting a wee bit France orientated.
